Mohan Roy (An independent News corespondent), Kolkata, 5th February: A symposium was organized at ‘Calcutta International Book Fair’ United Bank of India Auditorium by ‘Matribhasa Suraksa Samiti, Bangabhasa Samskriti and Bamla Bachao Committee’ (‘All Bengal Save Mother Tongue Association’).
The meeting was presided over by Dr. Alok Mukherjii, a noted linguist from Bengal.
While speaking in the symposium renowned Anthropologist Dr. Pashupati Prasad Mahato gave several references of ‘Savyatar Adi vindu Rarh’ (Cradle of Human civilization – Rarh’) by Shri P.R.Sarkar and highly praised the book. Citing several quotations from Varna Vijinana (Science of letters) wrote by Shri P.R.Sarkar he explained the need of learning Sanskrit to save Bengali language. Learned Audience present there supported his view strongly.
Several other learned personalities such as Dr. Sunanda Sannayal, Dr. Rabiranjan Chatterjii, Dr. Acintya Biswas and others were also present in the symposium.
After the symposium some of the journalists present there wanted to know more about Shri P.R. Sarkar. Dr. Mahato introduced them with the members of PROUTIST UNIVERSAL present in the symposium for further knowledge.
