National News Service, Kolkata 06/03/2005: In Jharkand despite the intervention of the President Kalam, the Governor Syed Sibi Razi, has bought forward the date of trial of strength by only six days to the 15th of March 2005.

The Jharkhand assembly has summoned on the 9th of March for oath taking, and the speaker ellection will be held on the 10th of March. The Governor is planning to appoint the Anglo Indian nominated membber immediately before the Speaker election to tilt the balance iin favour of Sibu Soren.

The Catholic Church has gone all out to influence the Christian tribal member to vote against the NDA to prevent the BJP to come to power.

The Church was taking this stand, because the previous NDA Government had taken a very proactive stand against the conversion of the adivasis (tribal population). This has caused a divide amongst the Adivasis along the religious llne.
