According to Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar, and according to PROUT, animals have as much right to live as do human beings. They do not want to die before their time. They do not want to suffer and be in pain. Numerous tests over the past several decades have provided undeniable proof that animals do feel both agonizing fear- mental pain (before their slaughter) and unbounded physical pain while being slaughtered. It is the height of arrogance and crudeness of human beings who think they have a moral right to inflict so much pain and suffering on other species of life - and all to satisfy their palate!!
