Neo-humanistic approach to economics

Hitler's concentration camps and Stalin's gulags were replaced in China by the laogai. Most of the people in them were supporters of democracy and human rights, and were accused of opposing the regime. The aim was to mould these people into the shape the communist regime wanted. To that end, prisoners are forced to work 10-16 hours a day in the most terrible conditions, and were humiliated and tortured.

As you know, physical pabulum is limited, so the mind continually runs from one thing to another. This process goes on in a never-ending order. But in the realm of intuition the goal is infinite. When aspirants come into this realm, their desires, their longings, are fully satisfied. Thus the controlling point is the spiritual order. Because the spiritual order is infinite, human beings have no control over it, but as the physical realm is finite, human beings can increase their sphere of activity in this realm. The attempt to do this is a never-ending process, and there are infinite permutations and combinations in this endeavor, but the latent hunger in human beings will never be satisfied in this realm. The quest to satisfy this hunger can at best only lead to the threshold point of spirituality. As human beings progress towards the realm of spirituality, they are helped on the one hand by Prout, which guarantees minimum requirements and maximum amenities, and on the other hand by neo-humanistic outlook, which removes disparities. These two approaches help human beings in their progress and elevation. Finally the existential faculty merges in the Supreme.

Young schoolgirl in China (epa)

It is a paradox that the two most populated countries in the world -- China and India -- which together have some 2.3 billion people, are running low on young women. That's because both China and India traditionally value boys more than girls. Modern technology has made it possible to identify the sex of an unborn child and to abort it if it is a girl. Other female babies are quietly disposed of after birth. That could mean long and lonely bachelorhoods in the near future for millions of men unable to find partners.

PROUTIST UNIVERSAL Editorial Note: Facing the mystery of lifeBoth of these women are about to experienceFacing the mystery of life the miracle of birth. One of these pregnancies was planned; the other was just a pleasant surprise. There was never a question amongst their family members of the right to life of either child. Both will be welcome, held and loved by parents, grandparents and family members. This is the way it is supposed to be right? Our children are our lineage and collective gift to humanity. What is so special about these children is that they will not be amongst the 40 million this year that were “chosen” as unwanted and Aborted. They have a right to life and love because their mothers want them too. And the others?

Claim television character is homosexual a mathematical issue
By Brajaraj (People’s News Service)

The Public Broadcasting Services (PBS) provide high-quality educational programming across the United States to people of all ages, but it seems that they can’t put two and two together themselves when it comes to the global phenomenon of Teletubbies.

Teletubbies is a morning television program carried by PBS featuring four roundish, cuddly little creatures that aims to educate very small children two years and younger. In 1999 it was the subject of passing comments and more in-depth looks in several publications, including People, Time, The Washington Post, Christian minister Rev. Jerry Falwell’s National Liberty Journal, and the Chicago Tribune. Tribune columnist Eric Zorn quoted several gay writers who were convinced that Tinky Winky, one of the characters, is gay...........Read more

Youths Abused in Rio’s Detention Centers

|

Rio de Janeiro, December 7, 2004

Youths face abuse and inhumane conditions in Rio de Janeiro’s state juvenile detention centers, Human Rights Watch said in a report released today. One year ago this week, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva launched a still-unfulfilled action plan to address children’s rights, including the needs of youths in detention.

Exploitation of Tribal Children Continues

|

PROUT Editor's note: Contrary to the claims of many belonging to the higher castes, casteism in India is alive and kicking. The entire caste system, created by arrogant Brahmins, is a disgrace to the Indian subcontinent. A prime goal of PROUT in India is to delete the caste system - wipe it off the face of the earth - and advance the interests of every human being without discrimination. Mr. Laloo Yadav, while notorious for destroying the state of Bihar and putting it in the dark ages, has to be commended on just one point. He has worked hard to eradicate the caste system in Bihar, and the lower castes are beginning to have opportunities that they never had before the arrival of Yadav.

DUMKA: The thirty-year-old infamous Chirudih massacre case, which recently got the media attention following the arrest of JMM supremo Shibu Soren, is said to be an outburst of the tribal community against Dikus (non-tribals), who had cheated them. Much has changed since then. Many movements were launched to protest exploitation by Dikus and many leaders emerged and rose to prominence at the national level also. However, tribal people, particularly in rural areas are still being exploited.

From Nepal to the Indian circus

PROUT Editor's note: Kailash Satyarthi is world famous for his tremendous work to free the slaves, particularly the child slaves, in India. Some of the slaves he found had been in literal chains for years. Due to his untiring efforts, he has obtained the release of more than 40,000 child slaves in India during the past ten years. In this instance, another strategy would be to distribute leaflets to the audiences during circus performances, informing them that the little girls in front of them on the stage are slaves and that they should demand their immediate release from the circus owners. It is persons such as Kailash Satyarthi whom we should all join hands with and work with to fight the injustices rampant in the society. In that process, all our lives can become dignified.

Circus to Sex Work for Nepalese Girls in India

PROUT Editor's note: There is only one reason why sex slavery is flourishing around the world today. It is due to dire economic affliction. This abject poverty of people in Nepal, for example, causes parents to sell their own children to traffickers, sometimes knowing and sometimes not knowing what is in store for them. The only solution to this problem is to change the economic system so that people will no longer have to suffer. Capitalism has not worked. Rather it is the manifestation of capitalism that we see reflected in 80 percent of the world population living in absolute poverty. Communism also has not worked, as it turned men into beasts. The crying need is the socio-economic system of PROUT. Its principles will restore dignity to all people. There will be guarantees such as jobs for everyone, a minimum livable wage, and adequate purchasing power. In a PROUT government, citizens will be able to file lawsuits against any government that does not provide them with adequate purchasing power. This right will be enshrined in every constitution. There will no longer be subordinated cooperation, with peons reporting to bosses and retaining their jobs only due to the mercy of those bosses. In PROUT, such capitalist set-ups will be replaced by PROUT cooperatives, which will guarantee all workers to work on an equal footing. All will become managers. Subordinated cooperation will be replaced by coordinated cooperation. All will have a voice and a vote. The caste/class system that is endemic to capitalism will be gone. It means, no parent will ever be forced, due to extreme poverty, to sell his child into slavery. The tragic events described in the article below indicate to us the real urgency of creating Proutist societies - so that no child will be degraded, so that every human being can walk with head held high, with self-confidence, joy and dignity.

KATHMANDU, June 28 (OneWorld) - Twelve girls returned to Nepal Sunday after a harrowing stint with a circus in India, and the nongovernmental organization that rescued them says hundreds of such children are sexually abused and made to perform risky acts in Indian circuses.
